This is the longest and most complete of our documentaries yet. Its story takes place in Amsterdam and Utrecht, from 2011 till 2014, following Sofia from being a newcomer in the country to daring to make her dreams come true.

Directed by Nikolaos Stampoulopoulos, Founder and Chairman of New Diaspora Foundation.

The documentary Sofia Spinoula: if there is a God premiered at the Greek Diaspora Conference in Oxford University on Friday, June 22nd 2018.

One Migrating World

From 2008 to 2015, almost half a million Greeks* migrated due to the economic crisis. It’s the 3rd bigger wave of mass migration from Greece, after the one in the beginning of the 20th century and the one that followed WW2.
